Eating salt is not unhealthy, however, our bodies only need one gram of salt a day which is under half a teaspoon.

We get quite a bit of salt in pre-packaged foods and when we dine out, so there isn't much need to sprinkle into our homemade meals if it can be avoided. However, there are different types of salt….. table salt which can provide needed iodine, seal salt with minerals (Celtic is highest quality), epsom bath salt to absorb minerals through the skin, and fermented soy which provides enzymes. Just choose wise portions for the different needs you may have.
A good way to avoid salt is by using salt-free celery powder (different from celery "salt") and you can use more flavorful herbs in your dishes to enhance flavor.
